Remember grade school Valentine Parties when we use to trade candy hearts with different sayings.  Today you can still give these beautiful hand blown glass ornaments to your friends and loved ones.

When it comes to decorating your Christmas tree, there are several ways to go about it, but for me, I like to give my tree a theme.  This is why I started to seek out collectible ornaments.  Amongst all the figures and symbols of Christmas, I found that I favored angels, representing purity, grace, and a certain free will.  I wanted to decorate my whole Christmas tree with angels, so I started to seek out handmade ornaments and blown glass ornaments of angel figurines. 

For several years I amassed my beautiful collection, and over time the angels replaced all the other ornaments on my tree.  Now whenever I have guests over for Christmas they always comment on my tree because it’s so unique compared to most others.  I just adore all my angel décor because of the unity and warmth it brings to my holiday tradition. 

When Christmas time rolls around, creating Christmas ornaments with your children can be an enjoyable activity that will have lasting memories for years to come.  When you adorn your tree with handmade ornaments, you and your family will feel invested in your holiday tradition.  There are several ornaments you can create at home with just a few simple craft supplies.  For example, take a standard clear bulb ornament, give your children some red and green paints, and allow them to create an original ornament design!  There are also craft kits that contain all the supplies necessary to create handmade ornaments.
